Dreamland with Satan by Apples13

This is a unique, stylish, and interesting piece in which the background is a character in its own right. The drawing is very accurate ...

I used to be a Generic Salesperson, Level 1 (not my real title, haha) but my supervisor thinks I'm doing well enough to make me a specialist in the brand I sell! That means I'll learn all the details about the fit and material in order to answer customers' questions better, and after a while I'll get free clothes from the brand so I can advertise it by looking awesome. Yaaay!

Since February is a slow month at the store, I'll be working fewer hours, but at least I'll have more time to work on art. Hope to be back soon to the realms of the deviantART living. (I've actually been making a good bit of art, but I haven't been posting it. Better get on that.)

"The world is not yet done." Here we are, adding to the world with every word and every picture. I've been building my own little world for years, and I love wandering through everybody else's worlds too.

:bulletred: What does Valkeus mean? Valkeus technically means 'white' in Finnish, but here it's the name of one of my muses (the white one with black details). Valkeus represents my quest for excellence, so he's the 'patron muse' of this account. You can see my muses [here].

:bulletorange: Comments! I love useful feedback! When you tell an artist why a piece appeals to you, or even why it doesn't, it helps them as well as you! They can learn from your input, and you get ideas for improving your own work.

:bulletyellow: Watchers and Friends: I am grateful for every watcher, but I don't always give watch for watch. Please don't feel bad if I don't watch you back, or wait a long time to do so. I do return helpful comments and critiques, though! I tend to become friends with people who give detailed comments and love to talk about art.

:bulletgreen: Commissions and Trades: Head/bust sketches start at $10, full body sketches $20+. Note me for details. I might do an art trade with a friend if I’m itching to draw a certain character.

:bulletblue: Journal Tags and Chain Letters: You can tag me in your journal, but I'll probably just answer the questions. No chain letters, please.

:bulletpurple: I disappear a lot... but I always come back! Be patient with me and I'll give you quality comments and responses. I don't forget my friends.

-Centaurs, unicorns, horses, and other graceful hoofy beings are my favorite creatures to draw.
-I should probably paint more.
-Wanna talk about Transformers (mainly More Than Meets The Eye)? I’m secretly obsessed.
-There’s a little piece of pencil lead embedded in my right hand. It’s the source of my artistic powers! (No, it’s not)
-I spent a year in Osaka teaching English, learning Japanese, and playing cello. Hit me up for top secret hiking trail information.
-Education: B.A. in music and art. Current job: working at a department store and teaching English lessons. Hey, my degree isn’t useless! I’m saving up for grad school…
-I love rainbow bullet points! Can you tell?
-My old account is andalasur in case you want to e-stalk me.
-I’m slowly writing the Great American Fantasy Novel. (I think a lot of us are.) I started my first draft when I was 9. It's significantly less terrible now.

Hey y'all! Valkeus here! I managed to lose my passwords to both my dA account and my old email address that went with it, so I started a new account. Hopefully I'll be able to get into my Valkeus account and update it. Anyway, I hope to catch up with you all this fall or winter!

Hey, Valkeus! Do you draw satyrs? I think they'd look really cool drawn in your style. And it's not too much different from a unicorn or centaur to be a shock to your system :D

Just as a totally random question, which types of morality do you find most appealing or interesting in fiction: black vs white, grey vs grey, white vs white, white vs grey, grey vs black, or black vs black (Warhammer 40k is a good example)? Or, do you think the types of moralities are an irrelevant way to categorize fiction?

Hi there, I'm really sorry to bother you but I asked my friend :iconembolden-rose: for a critique on my two best pieces and she said you were a lot better at critiquing and referred me to your page.
Do you think you could maybe critique a couple of my pieces?
I'd really appreciate it.
