Valkarya

Here is my muse, who represents my inspiration and my creative process. The two halves represent separate aspects, Valkeus and Varya.

Valkeus (male with white skin and black hair) is logical, rule-abiding, and determined.
Varya (female with black skin and white hair) is emotional, intuitive, and easily caught up in flights of fancy.
I need both of those aspects to do my best work. Valkarya, the combined form shown here, represents the state in which I use my learned skills and my creative intuition together to succeed at my projects.

This picture rekindled my interest in drawing after a month of inactivity. (Drawing my muse usually does that!) It just sort of "happened" while I was listening to the hip-hop hits of the 2000s, courtesy of my sister-in-law's old iPod.

Medium: Prismacolor micron pens (for inking). Prismacolor pencil over marker. Background color added in the GIMP.
